Bird & Fish Knives

Does this take any of you back to your youth? Maybe some of you are still in your youth. I think I will try that red one out this Spring.

A style that I have always drooled over but never bought.
What is the bone/stag? one with the bail?

I think it may have had a bail at some point.

The fake bone goes fishing with me. Hopefully tomm. I've got a few more since then, too. What can I say, I like to fish. And I have a problem.

Some great knives, Cal.

My only contribution would be this "8 Dot" Case made for Abercrombie & Fitch back in the day. I worked there in the mid 70's and picked it up while employed there:

Resurrected from the dead because I found the beauty below buried in a hunting pack. I'd stuck it there and forgotten about it.
Was going to start a bird hunter thread, but this one was already on the books.
Show off those bird knives if you've got 'em!

Note: If a mod put a simple return between the pictures in the OP's post, it would make page 1 of this thread a lot tidier.

These are are my designs executed by Tim Hartman. After fly fishing and upland bird shooting for over 40 years one would think I would have it down! T&B I was kind of a shot in the dark, T&B II was a refinement and T&B III is in the works. I expect it to be perfect.

All three are O1 with ivory Micarta and nickel silver hardware.

These are no longer in my possession.

What a sweet knife to re-find!

Let's see your bird and trout and fish knife slipjoints. I traded for a Remington 80's bird and trout for my little brother to give to his doc. I saw a Buck bird and trout over the weekend at an antique shop, a lot nicer than the various Pakistan and Colonial fish knife slippies in abundance.
