I had a little visitor this morning who decided to stay for a bit after banging into my glass patio door during a storm.

Looks kinda wren-ish to me but what do I know...

Any bird experts want to chime in?

I am in Northern Florida.

Much appreciated!

Sorry cant help with the ID but those are some great close ups. That little fella must have been really dazed and

.

Ovenbird confirmed by SWMBO. Cool little warbler, great pics.

Thanks all!

I was torn between a wren and a thrush and a warbler, it seems the Ovenbird is somewhat related to the thrush and warbler families. But like I said, my bird ID knowledge is minimal at best.

Thanks again!

Ovenbird-I thought you fellas was being funny, til I googled it. I am a dumass sometimes, overlook me. Google says chunky ovenbird to mine eyes. Absolutely astounding pics, well done. Moose

According to SWMBO's book, it is a Wood Warbler. I've never seen one that I remember and I've certainly never gotten pics of any bird like those. Great shots, made IDing easy.

absolutely awesome pics, thanks for sharing! Cute lil ovenbird.

So did you field dress it and try out the meat?:D

Thanks again for the kind words.

You guys have inspired me (with the help of my little friend pictured above) to finally pick up "The Sibley Guide to Birds".
