Birthday GAW

Happy Birthday;
I was 52 once; almost 20 years ago

Probably my best birthday came early by a week or so one year. It was the year my son and first born arrived.

I'm in; I like small alox Vic's

I'm in sir, and happy Birthday and milestone at the same time!

Now, my most memorable birthday was when I turned 25, a youngish age, just out of the US Navy, working as an Industrial Electrician, since there were no openings for a Sonar Tech at any of the near by lakes :( go figure! pay was quite low, this was many years ago, and the apartment I was renting, while modest, everything costs. I had no food in the place, only enough gas to get me to work the next day when I would get my paycheck, so I couldn't drive over to my mom's for food, no girlfriend at the time, yes I know sad story right ;)
I distinctly remember getting down a small dark pink shallow bowl and opening a can of chocolate syrup, pouring it into the bowl and ate that while watching tv, don't recall what was on, just slowing eating that bowl of chocolate syrup lol.

That was my most memorable birthday, they did get better after that but it is the one I'll not forget!

Happy Birthday Tyson ! 😊
52 is a nice age ........ I kinda wish I could back track to 52.
That sure is a fine looking Minichamp, a very handsome and useful knife.
I might be in ................. just need some time to think about my most memorable birthday. 🤔

Happy birthday, Tyson! Sweet giveaway! Please don't count me in, though.
I'd love to share my most memorable birthday story. Well, other than that time spending my 17th birthday with a cute girl...
A few years ago, my wife invited some family over and we all had cheese steaks and ice cream. There was just something about that day that felt really good. We all had a great time. That day is a very cherished memory for me. Hopefully you make some great memories today!

Tyson, I’ll jump in for this one. My birthday was just a week ago. My favorite birthday is every birthday, because it means I’m still alive!! But seriously it is, because I get to harass my older brother. He was born the day before me, the year before me. March 8th and 9th. For years he would tease me on his birthday and say “I’m 2 years older than you”. I would fire back and say “no you’re not, you’re only 366 days older than me”. Then several years ago I called to wish him a happy birthday and I said “hey, did you realize you’re 2 years older than me today?” His reply, “shut up, it’s not funny anymore”. So every birthday I get to harass him a little bit. After all, what are brothers for… ;)

I'm in. I'd love to try out one of these, as I've not had the chance yet.

Well, for my 22nd or 23th birthday I had some friends over for a little shindig. I don't remember the details except that we were planning to do some clay pigeon shooting. It poured rain. So I said, Well...lets shoot anyways. I got 2 friends to go with me with the prompting that I would clean their guns for them. We shot clays for about 20 minutes in a driving rain. I then cleaned 3 shotguns for about an hour. It was a hoot.

Not an entry but Happy Birthday Tyson! As my grandpa used to ask me, “Do you feel any older?” Enjoy!
My dad has asked me that since I was young. Im 54 now and no longer celebrate my Birthday. I remember days of pin the tail on the donkey and cupcakes, but today my very young kids (12 and 8) like to take me out to a restaurant. Last time out, a lady sitting at the bar asked if I was out with my grand kids. I said thats my son and daughter. She gave me a look of confusion and turned around.

Im not sure if I have 100 posts here but Im in if allowed.

Thanks for the opportunity, I have an Alox Pioneer X that has been in the left pocket for 2 years

Happy Birthday Tyson,
I'm not in because I'm far but I love this little knife which has been stolen to me by my oldest daughter

Birthday, I don't celebrate mine for many reasons ( and also because we don't earn a year we loose one 😁). But for all the other members of the family it's an occasion to have a diner in a good restaurant.
For my children it's almost always a sushi, a passion for the 3. They even did internships at a suchi master o_O

Today is my 52nd birthday, and this is my 1000th post on BF. I was a lurker here for years before I finally created an account a couple of years ago and start participating. I noticed that my birthday and four-digit post count would line up yesterday, so decided it was time to do a giveaway. I'll be giving away a brand-new Victorinix Alox MiniChamp. (Picture is of mine - the actual MiniChamp for the GAW is in an unopened box.)

To be eligible to enter, you must be a paid member of BF, and have at least 100 posts on The Porch, and it must be legal for me to ship this to your country. To enter, tell us about your favorite birthday - best gift or most surprising party or a good family tradition or anything else. I'll randomly select a winner next Wednesday (3/22/2023). Good luck!

Sorry for late response
HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎂🍻
The offer is tempting but I own one, so will give way to someone in need.
Very generous of you Tyson.

My birthday is January the 8th so it always gets lumped in to Christmas/ New Years. My mom's birthday is on February 3rd, and my sister had planned to have a surprise birthday party for my mom, and we had lined everything up. When I walked in to "my Mom's" surprise party, I was very surprised to find out it was actually for me and my 50th birthday. So a good way to surprise someone with a party is to tell them you are preparing a surprise party for someone else :D

Hope you have a stellar birthday!

Not an entry but I’ve enjoyed reading the stories. I remember one year as a pretty young kid and for my birthday my parents told me to go sweep the backyard (ridiculous because it’s woods) so I begrudgingly walk on back there. Back behind the house is easily the coolest bike I’d ever seen in my 8-9 years on the earth at the time. But I figured I wasn’t supposed to see it and started sweeping the yard. A few minutes later my dad comes out dumbfounded because I’m actually sweeping the yard not riding the bike! One of my favorite gifts and birthday memories.
