I made this knife for a good friend's birthday. What good gifts knives make. I'm fairly new to this stuff, but getting better with every blade. Made from the Baron's 1084, partial flat grind (320 grit machine finish) with osage orange handle and simple filework on the spine. 4 inch blade, 8-3/8 inch OAL. It is what it is and is in the mail, but let me know of anything I could change or do different in the future. Thanks! and hopefully these links work

Your friend will be very happy. If not, tell him off, and I will be your friend... My birthday is in March...
LOL. Excellent work!

Nice work. I give a lot of knives as gifts. People appreciate something that is hand made more than something bought over the counter.

One thing you should do is space your pins an equal distance from each other.

Wow! That is really nice! How many knives have you crafted now altogether? You did an excellent job on this, as it is very 'sharp' <smile> in more ways than one! :D

Thanks for the comments, everyone! This was knife #8, there are 2 more in this little batch, they should be done the week.

I will agree with you on this. Which brings me to a question. If the knife has a lanyard hole, can you get away with grouping the two front pins closer together? The other two in the batch have lanyard holes and I spaced the pins the same way because I kinda liked the look. But this one is just three pins and I agree, it looks off.

A lanyard tube acts as a pin. Spacing the tube and pins equally gives the knife symmetry.
You obviously have a skilled hand and you will hone that skill with each knife.

Read the stickies and shop talk. You will learn much.

Looks like a great little knife. Your friend will be honored to own it I'm sure.
