bit another bullet

Thanks guys, I knew I was gloating in the right place! :D

I did not get the gas set-up, only because a couple of my friends have it... But they don't like it and never use it, they've simply stuck with foil.

As far as bang for the buck, I think EvenHeat is the way to go there. I was going to get one for the longest time, but always felt like I really wanted the Paragon.

I think it's akin to my dad saying, "Well one, is a VW, and the other is a Cadilac... both will get you there, but one is just nicer." Of course I'd love to have a Mercedes, which would be like the furnaces Paul Bos uses, but that ain't EVER gonna happen :)

I like the door system on the Paragon much better. And price wasn't really much worse. By ordering the KM24D through a ceramics shop, I got it for $1250 with $170 shipping. Buying directly through Pagagon, it would have cost $1410 with $220 shipping.

Definitely look for a Paragon distributor if you think about buying one.

I'm excited to try some testing against my salt bath with this oven.

It's in Portland now.. almost here! :D

my evenheat is to be good till all but 2300 and i have had it up to 2100 before
just interested

That would have been pretty sweet Chris!

I'll keep it in mind that I'm getting the oven and 650 lb. of W2 for less than that, lol ;) That oven would be the cat's pajamas for sure!

I think between my forge, my digital salt bath, and this oven, I'll be so addicted to testing again that I'll never get a knife done. Oh wait, I never do anyway! LMAO!!! :D

Craig, you certainly did tell me that!!! :p :D How right you were my friend! :D

good going Nick
the two have their ups and downs for sure the biggy for me is the even heat's door opens to the side and you don't have the heat of the door brick coming stright up on your arms, the Paragon's door is biult better though..
I have the Even heat Ramp master II and have been
happy with it for like 8-9 years now..don't you just love new toys :D
