First up , If this is in breach of copyright , Ill galdy take it down again

I found a booklet harking back to around 1939 , and figured that for the sake of curiosity value , it was worth scanning and putting up for a look see at what survival was about way back when :)

I do hope Im not being offensive and making anyone feel old here ..

Is basicly an ancient first aid booklet with a itty bit about identifying war gasses at the end ... the methods of first aid differ a bit to what I learned at the course I did tho ..

Ooops your "page #11" (containing pages 20 and 21) is missing.

#17

Nose irritants have no smell to identify them, but the effect is demonstrated by aching nerves in the face and gums like neuralgia and severe mental depression.

I'm sure there's a cheap shot in there about lady-farts grinding one down.

Page 30 is awesome :thumbup:
I'm gonna frame it
No worries on posting this i believe
It's for "criticism and comment" if anybody says anything ;)

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include —

(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;

(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;

(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and

(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.

The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

thats really cool i love old books like that. A lot has changed but its amazing how much is exactly the kinda of methods i learn now even in my EMT class.

you know its old when they use the word "smarting" to mean pain :D

Thanks for the pics!

I found it tucked in the front cover of a book called "British Red Cross Nurses Journal #2" printed in 1938 , fifth edition , first printed 1912

the bit about the war gasses caught my eye , its not often that I have run across anything like that before , I kinda had to share it :)

Glad you enjoyed it .
