BITTEN BY MY NMFBM...warning some blood!!

Sliced open the web of my thumb once in a similarly boneheaded move. Thankfully I didn't hit bone but I know I severed a nerve or two. Didn't get stitches (absolutely recommend them if you have a deep cut there :o ) Took it over a month to close up properly and the nerve sensations weren't right for a good year.

Thanks for all the kind words, i should have had it stitched but the thought of having it done......so i went with the DIY job. I,m left with a lumpy scar now....and a NMFBM looking very sorry for it,s self. lol

Super glue it back together after cleaning it well, its better than stitches, something I learned in the service.

I wish I had done the super glue(Dermabond type) a couple of weeks ago...almost did, but didn't really think it would need it. Wrong!

Ken is right, only use Dermabond super glue, regular super glue can be toxic.

Use pine sap. Cheaper and when it gets into your blood stream you'll get high.
:p

I've seen somthing similar to this wound on Monty Python. All in all...it's a mear flesh wound!:D

Good to hear you didn't loose a digit.

Actually they make a sterile super glue for this, I found a medical supply place that has it and I keep a tube in the fridge. The military pioneered the use of super glue for wounds, and that's where I learned about it. Last time I badly cut myself on the job I asked the doctor in the ER to glue it together instead of stitches and he did it. Heals quicker and less scars also.

I know how you feel... I cut myself at least once a week these days:rolleyes: I stopped handleing kinves after midnight and that has helped...but these blades are so sharp you just have to keep focused at all times.

And it is true... now that she has tasted blood, you know what they say... Be careful:D:D:D
