Hello blade forums

Lurking for a while just getting lost in the info here, and have a little bit of success to show from it.

I'm a professional chef by trade, with a modest sharpening biz on the side to support my own habit of highly polished edges... Suddenly I was compelled to make a petty from an old wood saw one day...then I find myself here learning from every mistake.

Suddenly I am sitting on a pile of s35vn, 1095, and misery whip steel. I dig through junk stores finding bits and pieces of ugly metal and thoughts of handle fabrication & dust management fill my head.
This is the 3rd and 4th functional knife I have made, a 270mm misery whip gyuto with bird's eye maple, mosaic pin, and epoxy/hemp ferrule. Still needs some finishing.

a gift to my cooking apprentice of 2 years.

Second, a 180mm nakiri with a paduak octagonal handle, epoxy/hemp ferrule and mosaic pun
