Bittersweet day...

I lost my dad 11 years, 4 months ago. It something you never forget. Just remember the good times with him and all the lessns he taught you.

I pray for you and your family. Be strong right now, as times are rough at first, but know he is with you and will always be so.

I also extend my condolences on your loss.
It is an honor for me to be a member of the community that you have chosen to turn to in at this time.

I know how a certain day can end up being the one day that really impotant stuff always seems to fall on. My grandfather has told me of so many things that have happed to members of our family on 10/10 that I sometimes wonder if I should leave the house on that date.

No Regrets

I'm so sorry for your loss. My Dad passed away 19 years ago, and not a day passes that I don't still think of him, talk to him, wish he were still here.

My heart goes out to you,

Jerry

Thanks again everyone. Your well-wishes are heartfelt and mean the world to me and my family.

Prayers sent...Sorry about you Dad....Life is just a short journey to your destination.

..........I finally received my SHBM that I have been waiting for......

...... my wife informed me that she received notice that my father passed away this morning. It was expected soon given many years of declining health and numerous recent trips to the hospital, but still not a pleasant experience. Rest in peace, Dad. You're in a better place............

Sorry about your loss.

I guess you'll have the SHBM in honor of his memory.

Take care of your love ones. Best wishes.

My condolences to you and your family. My father passed 2 years ago (expected for almost a year)- as you said, they're in a better place. From your post, you sound like a great guy, glad you're here. Thanks for sharing.

OTE,

04/04/04 taught me you better damn well be seeing how green the grass is whether you feel like it or not.

We do indeed have it good even on the bad days.

God speed. Let me know if we can help.

OTE, my condolences and my thoughts and prayers will be with you!

My condolences, sorry you lost your dad. Mine just turned 79, I know he can't last forever and I'm glad he's still here.
You sound like you have a great attitude and are someone worth knowing, you are part of what make this forum great.

OTE, I have been in this thread a number of times, and had to leave without a post. This brings up quite a few feelings for me, but most importantly, I empathize for your loss. It seems you have good memories, and that is invaluable. I wish you the best and thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

Condolences and prayers from my entire clan.

My kids' grandfathers have both been gone...for some time. But surely not forgotten. Whenever I see my son, I also see my father and I feel a little better.

Life marches on.

My condolences.

I lost my dad anout ten years ago and if I think about him it will still be emotional for me. But I think that is a good thing.
