Bizarre knife find

Check and see if there's a white Captain Kirk mask under there, too.

If so, I think I know who it belongs to...

And if it's the guy I'm thinking...you should be running right about now...

lol cracks me up they used a Capt. Kirk mask for that flick:D:D:D:D

Could it have been used to splice a hose in the engine compartment and left behind?

I think this is the most probable answer....but it is a very odd choice for cutting hose. I guess this is what you use when your chainsaw is not available?

The last flat tire on my wife's car was thanks to a kitchen knife blade in the road that I ran over. How a kitchen knife gets thrown in the street I'll never know. Perhaps it fell out from under someone's car like this one?

It is a serrated kitchen knife. In many households there exists nothing else as effective for cutting rubber hose. That seems like as good a guess as any.

Oh absolutely, I was just trying to be funny. OTOH, I still think I would opt for a steak knife or at least a smaller serrated blade (that apparently was not available to this guy).

A few years ago I was riding with my father when he hit a deer. I had to walk a couple miles down the highway and was scanning the shoulder for deer parts to find the animal. This was an interesting exercise...you would really be surprised what you find on the road side.

Within about 5 feet of where we stopped I found a stainless steel fork (I recalled the saying, "if you find a fork in the road, take it" so I did). By the time I got back to my dad's car I had 3 forks, 4 spoons and a couple steak knives and none had the same design/pattern!
