Spalted Maple Burl Blocks at my Lowest Prices Ever.
For reasons I will keep to myself, I need to sell a bunch of wood quickly. I have priced these blocks at prices comparable to what the suppliers pay me when they buy several dozen at a time.
These are some really nice blocks of spalted maple burl from Oregon. They were cut from burl caps so every inch of these blocks will have great figure as well as the unusual coloring caused by the spalting. This is natural wood, it has not been stabilized.
The photos are taken of these blocks dry. Plan on them becoming much darker when you have them stabilized. The grain and figure will really stand out then as well. You are in for a pleasant surprise. Spalted burl will be much softer than normal burl and may have some small bug holes, voids or bark pockets. Most get filled in when you stabilize these. A couple of the really long pieces may have a slight warp.
