I will for sure thin the edge. I may let the coating come off naturally. The only other knife in this size range I can compare it to would be the HG55. I had it for a while and then traded it for a scrapper 5. I just didn't care for the clip point. The bj feels heavier built than the hg55. I didn't expect it to feel like it would have any chopping weight but it does, eventhough it's not blade heavy. I have not used t yet and may not until I get it thinned out some.
I gotta get some kydex for it before I attach it to me pack. Then I'll beat it up real good and get back to you.
