Are those a little thicker then stock zytel moose?

All,

Factory BK-15,16 & 17 Micarta scales are being worked on as we speak. Present ETA is Dec '12; for sale Jan '13.
They will look surprisingly, like Moose's set.
Mrn8:hold on to your cargos.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the update. Count me in for three when they are released. Making my own has turned out to be a lot harder then I though as I don't have the proper power tools (yet)

Yes. Yes they are.

And just like all micarta, sucks up sweat and muck like a sponge. I gotta wash them after a few trips out, because the get sliiiiiiimy.

All,

Pricing is yet to be determined but it will fall in line with the BK-77 and the BK-11 handles....meaning somewhere in between.

You could always make your own. It's not that hard. Even with just a hand drill (although a drill press helps immeasurably). I actually just got a bunch of 1/8" camo G10 in that I'm planning on turning into scales for my 11. If anyone else is interested, I can probably make a few sets. I wonder if I epoxy 3 sheets together if that will look funny later if I cut it up...

Is it the digital camo G-10 where only the top part is colored or camo as in actual layers? If its that digi cam stuff then yeah, it'll look weird since as I said, only the top is colored/printed on so when you sand it you'll just end up with like a jade G-10 colored blob. If its the layered stuff, then no, I dont think you should have a problem...There might be a skip in the color pattern but thats probably not a big deal, especially if its multiple layers or color.

I'd like to stand up, take one for the team, and volunteer to test any prototypes you've developed.

That is all.

I have some of the St. Cutlery, and I agree. The ergos are off. With liners, I think they'll be good, but I want to talk mrn8 into doing some custom G10 liners for the SC scales.
