These scales are NOT some cnc machined knock-off of your factory scales in wood, rather, these are hand made traditional wood scales,each set unique. The shape,look and execution of these scales speak of the outdoors,hiking and camping. The pictured scales are made from Ipe, a tough, weather resistant tropical hardwood. They are not stained or dyed, the color is natural and runs through and through. The scales have been hand rubbed with tung oil and may be refreshed by you at your discretion or not. The hardware is stainless steel and will never rust,discolor or stain your wood. With proper care these scales will last a lifetime, or two. These scales can also be ordered in Cocobolo, Bocote or Bloodwood, with or without liners.Liner colors are red,green,yellow,blue or white. Those look absolutely fantastic!
Did you follow the contours of the factory scales, or are did you change the ergos a little?
I have a Cliched and Fisked FPR 16 - have you ever worked with Ca Buckeye? I think the gray burl would rock on the etched blade.
