BK-15 and K.O. Worksharp, grind angle?

I've found a similar thing! The blade edge is pretty after using the purple, but it's always sharpest after using the white belt. Why is that? Can anyone help me figure out why that might be? I don't know if it's just a "toothiness" issue, or of there is something deeper going on here.
I believe it's because the purple belt doesn't have the stiff backing like the others so it has a lot more give to it. When pulling the knife thru the guides it rolls over the apex under the weight of the knife causing it to dull instead of sharpen. Kinda the same effect as applying to much pressure on a strop.

It definitely not just a less toothy issue thou, it's actually dulling the edge. The blade grinder takes a similar belt but is 12k grit instead of 6k, and if the tension is to low and you apply to much pressure it'll do the same thing. Luckily with it thou you can adjust tension and control the pressure applied easier. My edges when I use it have lil to no toothiness left afterwards, but are sharp as hell and can it with your finger.
