As I said in my last posting of the BK7 sheath that I made, I am making a BK2 sheath for a passaround for folks to use and abuse. I have started and thought I would post a couple of WIP shots. These are shots of tooling the face.

Face tooling done!

Stay posted. I will post more as I get further into it.

how are u gonna pick/choose/select the reviewers? Cuz I am so down for being on the list lol

Thrill,
Not too sure how the passaround works. Ive seen others do it. I need somebody like Moose to help me with that part.

Looks awesome. I would totally be into a BK2 leather sheath passaround.

Ok..... a couple more pics. Had to throw in a token gun and also included the head cover I made for my CS Riflemans Hawk All the pieces cut out and now in the assembly process. Haven't seen a lot of interest so far but I'm pressing on.
Cheers

Hey Bob
That Colt is a Python that my dad bought back in the early 70's. Finest revolver I have ever handled. I have no leather for it because it is in prestine condition and wouldn't want to cause any holster wear. Did you notice the hawk head cover in the pic? Those are easy compared to knife sheaths! I hope to have this sheath done in the next week or so and with the help of someone on the forum smarter than me, we can start taking a sign up roster.
Thanks for checking back with me

The main points to cover is
1. Eligibility (ie Beckerheads Only or open to anyone)

2. Number of participants

3. Length of test time per participant

4. Rotation of the passaround (helps to keep it in a geographical ''chain'' so It's not going from MO to CA to AR to WA to NY to UT lol)

5. Shipping Cost and who takes care of it (I am more then happy to pay the shipping to the next fellow) depending on the overall size, it should fit in the 5.35$ flat-rate box from the USPS (possibly?)

Im sure there are a few more points I haven't covered

I would love to be in the pass-around, but I don't think I'm allowed to carry fixed blades at summer camp, and I don't have a stable month before then, so I'll have to sit this one out.

Good Christ! How the hell do I keep missing these epic threads?!!!

Eagle, your work is amazing, I can really appreciate all the detailed work that goes into that kind of stuff, the crisp edges. Just impeccable. I will subscribe to this thread immediately. Thanks for coming to the forum. I think this kind of generosity and commitment deserves an instant, honorary induction into the Beckerhead Society.

I can't wait to see that when it's done, and though I do not have a BK2 myself (a sin, I know), I'm sure those that do get a chance to fondle these moo pants will be pretty impressed.

Is it going to be a retention strap system?

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it is a sin to not have a BK2 but, since you confessed your sin, all is forgiven. I have a retention strap cut into the backpiece. Once its assembled and sewn, I plan to wet mold the face around the handle scales. That should provide good retention, but still plan to use a retention strap. Kinda like having a belt and suspenders. If I do use a retention strap, I plan to use the elastic trick to keep the strap out of the way when re-sheathing the blade. I'm haveing a blast with this project and love to hear from the BeckerHeads!
Cheers
