BK 20 Head Count

Nope - the count is messed up. Without actually going post by post; I'd guess that it should be in the low 400s.

-2 for me
-4 purchased for others (not sure if they will post up here)
Maybe we finally dipped into the 300's

I'd probably either attach it to my pack, or just carry it in my hand.

That's the way I'm leaning too, on my pack. Carrying that in my hand may be a little too much for the SoCal folks, at least on the local moderate trails in the nearby San Gabriel mountains. Up in Big Bear, well, that would be a different story. I'd like to hang it off my belt, but for a day hike it would likely be overkill (yet, still kind of fun...).

I love the 20. Best large Becker so far for what I prefer in that size... It has some nice lines. Its fun to look at.

-1...
dammit, you guys influenced me at a very suggestible moment.

Honestly, the carrying it my hand thing was strictly for fun thoughts about people's reactions. Think about it - a flat affect, combined with with the right gait and mannerisms - knife lowered, as if unaware of its presence - could really creep people out. Alternatively, one could easily switch gears - waiting until you know that both you and the knife have been noticed, then pretending to try to conceal the knife while veering off the trail to avoid contact...maybe trying to hide once a safe distance has been reached, or conspicuously stashing the knife and continuing to walk further off trail.

No. I am too aware of the possible repercussions, and not just to myself, to be doing things like that...but I appreciate the way my mind works, and enjoy the imagery.
Strapped to my pack would be the way I carry it. Unless, of course, I actually do have a psychotic break - in which case, all bets are off.

Only 64 left - almost time to decide if I want another set.

It did not take long for this thread fall apart - don't think many read the first post and clearly understood.

391 by my math trying to read all post of -1.

I appreciate your imagery... And like to think I have the Angst to pull off just that look. Yeah, strapped to my pack makes sense. Thanks for your thoughts and humor. --Anthony

-2 here, don't know where the count is at. As for carrying, I dangled mine from the belt on Monday on the kydex I made for it while mowing the lawn at my gf's house and barely noticed it, wasn't uncomfortable or heavy at all.

Nice; I carried it a couple times in the stock sheath as I did so share work and it was not so bad--agreed. However, in terms of use, it seems like a more mid-sized blade would make more sense, especially for day-hikes. But that's pretty subjunctive, I guess. As much as I love it, it may not be my first choice for belt carry; that said, a 5-7" little brother version would be pretty sweet.

I've alerted the RI constabulary. There's no WAY that thing will pass muster as a "hunting knife". Pretty sure it's well over the 3" blade length limit you got there ;).

Oh, didn't I tell you they opened a whitetail spear season?
I'll just call it a take-down.
