BK-21 for self defense

I can't believe no one has suggested dual-wield Machaxes yet...

Why not dual BK-21 Reinhardt/Becker Khukris?
Before you say it Alice has upgraded to BK-21s just after this photo was taken.

one machax in reverse grip for blocking of course ;)

it's funny, a lot of people are more afraid of being cut, than being shot.

generally, because they know that being cut HURTS... almost everyone knows that pain.

most people do not know what being shot is like. sure, it's no joke, but they don't have that FEAR yet. they are afraid of the IDEA.

just a thought :D

For me, that choice is very simple..... The Reinhardt/Becker Khukri..... Anyone coming at me with Hank’s Kuk is gonna be the recipient of as many bullets that I have with me..... it is a head lopper, for certain....... But, always remember this true pearl of wisdom——-Never, EVER bring a knife to a gun fight and ALWAYS bring a gun to a knife fight.......

Given that, the Khukri is gonna be your best bet...... It is a monster...... What it does to flesh tends to be scary in the extreme........ The Nine, 20 and 21 will be very good choices as well......

All my best to you and I hope you had a great Christmas.......

Ethan
Mr E Your spot on and funny as hell. Thanks for the laugh.

I have heard that many fear a cut more than a gunshot, though you can die pretty fast from either one. An interesting thing is that while most have been cut, and maybe even needed some stitches, I'd bet most likely don't understand the truly devastating effects of a serious knife wound. If movies were even more realistic, they might understand. But those would be gruesome movies indeed. Bowhunters understand the effects of a deep penetrating, but relatively small blade.

It has always seemed to me that many don't understand the value of effective deterrent. Most of the time, you are probably much better off if you don't have to use your weapon. Even if your use is justified, you are likely to get involved in all manner of legal entanglement. Not to mention the aftereffects on your own mental state.

If you show your weapon too early, then you may be accused of escalating the confrontation. If you show it too late, then it may be that you are forced to use it. But show at just the right time, things might work out pretty well. A blade is scary. So is that little red dot clearly pointing out where a bullet will land!

about the bk7 or 9... have any of you had to use the combat utility or combat bowie in actual combat? i'm curious about how well they'd function. I get the 9's a great chopper, but it's not very nimble if you ask me. maybe it's an operator problem...
if I had to fight, with one of my beckers (3,9,11,15), i'd pick my 15.

Nobody has mentioned yet that the BK21 is actually kind of stabby too.

It is also way too big to carry as a defensive blade. Zombie apocalypse sure! It is certainly a formidable weapon.

I remember reading where Ethan said the martial artists who have a "Ph.D. in knife" really love either the 5 or the 15. I don't remember which he said. It might be both. That 5 seems pretty nimble for an 8" blade.

In a world with no guns my choice for clearing bad guys out of the way would be the Bk&T Reinhardt only cause it's lighter and easier to swing :D Both being AWSOME
