Wish I had a Machax.also, the name of the article is poor. the BK4 is a number assigned by Camillus, and later used by KaBar.
the Machax is the one true knife imho.
Camillus took liberties but you could fix it because thickness was preserved.
the KaBar ... well, let's just say it's better they don't make it anymore. sorry to Ethan, but i was really really really disappointed. from chopper to yet another KLO. *cry*

If I understand you correctly, the Kabar made machax is a lot thinner? I own neither, and was thinking about buying a new bk4.
I believe the old Cincinnati Machax was 1/4" thick.

Well there is no "current" BK4; but, if it's that awesome, I'm glad I've got a (small) stack of them sitting in my office.the current Bk4 Would make Thor throw down his hammer. It is more than a mere mortal man can handle.
