Sorry for resurrecting a pretty old thread but...

OwenM, did you ever finish those scales for the Becker you were working on? I would love to see a pic of the finished product. Thx
 
I guess I'm weird. I actually like the handles on Becker knives. They fit my hand better than Swamp Rat's Battle Rat although the BR's material feels more secure.
 
I agree that the hand-fit is pretty good, but I've starting to notice the slipperiness noted by others before me. How do you like the Battle Rat, compared to say a BK9 / Brute? I know these comparisons have been done to death but one more opinion would be interesting. I've got some Beckers but am lusting after a Battle Rat... though I haven't had the chance to see one in person.

One thing I may try on my "working" Beckers. It's a little ghetto buuuuutt... I'm planning to slice a mountain bike inner tube to fit the inner portion of the Becker handle. One basically cuts the proper length and rolls it on, well, like a rubber! I'm hoping this will enable the grip to maintain it's excellent contour with the added tackiness of the rubber surface. I did this with a small "working" 25acp that was too small to utilize the Hogue Handall Jr .
