Thanks Kahn, I think Ill just suck it up and carry both... if I get to make it to the woods any time soon!
Nothing wrong with taking both...

Small critters drop dead at the coolness of it all.

YES!
Did you hit it with the hawk, 9, or the bow?
Man I have been interested in getting a bow lately. I love the idea of practicing in the back yard instead of having to go to the range.
What kind of bow do you have?
This is my main trio for the woods. I use these three more than any others.

Vintage Camillus Becker BK-5
KaBar BK-15
Actually, I believe it died of natural causes (pretty sure a coyote nailed it just before I got there) and it was kind enough to pose with my toys. That bow is a Howard Hill Halfbreed longbow. You can see it better in this picture of my BK9...

They are tons of fun for sure!

Very nice bow! I have been considering buying an osage stave and making a bow, but I am also considering just buying one instead.
That is a very beautiful bow.
Hey thanks! You know what would be cool - using your Becker to shape a brand new (and supremely snakey) osage orange self bow. Think a machax would be convenient for it - looks like a decent draw knife thingy - but I suspect you earn extra style points for using a BK11 or BK13 or something.
