Not perfect, but did these up in the GIMP program, to give you the idea:

apparently the official designation is now "brown", though Toooj might say "doughboy brown"

the green might be an artifact of the photography? we'll see soon enough, but i would expect they'd be "more brown than green"...

sweet mockups

I also expect more brown. Interestingly enough, when I saved the handle part, it was titled green.

I've been anxiously waiting for the Tweeners......... and I'm trying to be extra patient, and that picture doesn't help! Looks real nice Warrior, I guess I missed the "color" information and hopefull they'll be close to this.

Cool. I'm going by what I saw, but tomars says they are green. I don't mind green at all. I've been on an OD trip lately.

Those are some kinda awesome. Makes the wait tougher, but thanks for that Dubz.

No problem. I was hoping they would be more green, but I think it'll be more brown. Hopefully they'll offer some in OD.

I'd imagine some RIT could make brown handles go green if that's what you want. I was hoping for coyote brown, but I'll take whatever it is and wear it out.

But these are Zytel, not micarta.

Most plastics can be colored with RIT (weird but true, I know some guys that are REALLY into keyboards, and they dye the keys different colors with RIT if they're anything but black). It usually involves some amount of heat (like soaking the keys/scales in simmering dye), but its not that hard to do and is "permanent" just like it is on micarta. I could probably dig up the link sometime if people are interested.

You have to be careful of the heat though, because you could end up warping the scales if you're not careful.

EDIT:
Found one of the guides. This is actually from the site that I get my username (on OverClock.Net my username is Logan...).

Wow, very cool. Didn't know that. I wonder if zytel would work the same as plastic? Not to mention they're starting out with a whitish key to begin with.

Yea, I don't know exactly how it would work with zytel, especially if they aren't whitish. However, I do know that in other, more extensive guides out there (this is one, but the THE one I was thinking of when mentioning it, but came up quickly in google) they work on other colored keys as well (black/grey keys) but yea... keyboards aren't usually Coyote Brown.

But mostly I'm just saying it might be able to change the hue on the handles, even if I don't know exactly how it will turn out.

Maybe someday I'll test this idea on my ZK War swords toxic green handles? Or maybe someone with JAB potbelly grips can give it a whirl?

Hot dang those look cool. I definitely see a 15 and a 16 in my future. Thanks for doing those up.
