I'm having trouble finding out if these models are legit. I have a bk 71 in desert tan that is a operation Iraqi freedom edition. Legit or no? I can't post pics for some reason on this form.

Yes I know I have one I can't post pics,I've tried through imgur and all kinds of ways. I can send a pic through an email and maybe someone can post a pic for me. I figured someone in a Becker forum can help.

I can't say yours is legit, but there is such thing as a BK71 in desert tan.

I have a few safe queens, a camillus bk 77, bk 71,this bk 71 operation and a couple camillus BK's 10,9 and 2. I also have my users which are bk 2,10 and 17. Nothing on this operation Iraqi freedom though.

Is it possible that someone laser etched the "Iraqi freedom" on there? There are a number of online retailers that perform laser etching with whatever text you want as long as it will fit on the knife.

I've seen a few of them on eBay before. My thoughts, if there really were 1000 of them we'd see them a lot more often. I think this is the work of an aftermarket engraver, but I could be wrong.

I'm thinking the same thing. Especially if they put 1 of 1000 on them every once in awhile, and sell them like that. I Googled it, and couldn't find anything on it.
