BK&T Companion questions....

What is the blade length of this knife? Their website says 4.5 and some other websites say its 5.25 or 5.5... Can someone who has one let me know the actuall blade length of this knife before I buy one...?

Jason,
Sorry for the inconsistancies. The problem orignally arose over a small change during protoyping concerning where the plunge grind started. Then some folks wanted to measure the blade starting from different places [ie, the start of the edge, or the front of the scale]. I just pulled a current production [they have all been this way since CAMILLUS started producing them] CAMPANION and measured from the front of the scale/guard to the tip.....5.2".

I am wondering the same thing. The Cutlery Shoppe has the Companion listed as 5 1/8" blade and 10.5" over-all length. All other sources say 5 1/4" and 10 5/8" long. Mine has a 5 1/8" blade. Is this a Mini-Companion? Also the edge was a shade over 1/8" on the left side of the tip and just under 1/16" on the right making the tip veer to the right over about a half inch.
