BK10: Getting one... Is there a way to?

Stonewashed finish is one of my favorites. I just wish I'd been enough in the in crowd to have purchased one back when they were as inexpensive as most standard Beckers. Now, they're all gone, so value is likely to increase.

I know, people should really take a few minutes to look around to see if they can answer their own question before just lobbing it up on the board, but it is just part of being on a forum as I'm sure you know. There's going to be new people who aren't going to know their Remoras from their Machaxes and will inflict that upon us until they get it figured out. But we were all new once and if we scare them away before they get a chance to figure things out we could lose people who might one day become future mod gods themselves (after Bladite finally goes mad and runs off into the mountains clutching his discontinued and limited run Beckers).

P.S. The very last line of your post is why I pulled a trigger on the BK16 inbound to my house.

Yep. It's happening now too. Why on Earth would you care if someone comes to the Becker Forum to ask a question about a Becker knife? It's no skin off your teeth, and obviously those who answered, including two Mods of this forum, weren't bothered by him asking without searching, so why should you be?

I'd hate to fall short of your expectations, so I'm calling you on being a jerk.

Questions are fine in my book. Note that the OP got an answer inside of 15 minutes whereas he might have spent much longer trying to search one out.
Seriously, do a search for such a common term like BK10 and see how long it takes to find mention of production status.
Not everyone is an insider here, and I would like to make outsiders feel welcome, while at the same time nudging them in the direction of our excellent DATABASES.

i got so much good info... i was actually hoping one of you folks "in the know" would be able to tell me that they were planning to make another run of these....

they are all gone. forever. no more. that's it. oops!

now, in a couple YEARS, they may re-visit the BK10 idea, but afaik, dead dead dead. so many other designs ahead of it, it's not funny.

The BK18 and BK19 are still listed as "Classified" and will not be making an appearance in this threa or any other thread in the near future.

That seems to have been more my fault than yours. And yes, you're right, this thread did turn out to generate some good info, so clearly my mistake. I also thought that the thread about "BK10's are all gone" was still more recent than it actually was. You may note that I did still answer the question, but I'll bow out next time instead of suggesting that people search.

Not gonna lie though. I'm also not going to help either if I feel that the question has been answered several times recently. I still feel that a little judicious use of the search function is useful, and a guy's gotta draw the line somewhere. I'm out of this one. Sorry for any tension, and good luck finding your 10. I can tell you, it's worth finding. It's like a 2, except a little quicker, and much sexier in my eyes. Can't wait for the 16 though.

CrimsonFalcon, here's the way I see it, YMMV, but, folks come to a forum to chat with other folks, if they just wanted to read and not interact, they would just stick to the Google, and things would be pretty damn dull around here.

I can't tell you how many "What should I buy...." or "What's the best BKT for camping......." or "Just got my first BKT.......", but I answer everyone with the same excitement, its why we are here.

I was checking out T__ar's website earlier today and there is a lot of new stuff on there, and a lot of stuff with bright green handles and scales.
 
If you really, really, really gotta have one you can always pm me. I stockpile BK's like nobodies business. :D
