BK10's Are Gone

Mine arrived today. :D

Would be nice to have one, but no matter how I tried to justify the purchase of a $150 BK9 shorty, I couldn't, especially since at the time there were whisperings of a real-life machax, and some curious mid-size blades being forged in some damp cave in the misty mountains. If I come across the opportunity to purchase or trade for one, and funds aren't as tight as they have been lately, I might reconsider. I had to ask myself this: "If I the BK10 already existed in mass production when I discovered BK&T, would it be the first knife I'd buy?" and the fact of the matter is, it wouldn't be, but daaamn I came close to pulling the trigger a few times just based on the Limited-Editionyiness of it, then again I figured they'd be reselling for triple the price the next day too lol.

I'm glad I pulled the trigger on mine. It basically fixed everything I didn't like about the 2, and is my favorite Becker to date. That's probably going to change though...

I don't like how he said "it's never coming back", sorta makes it sound like it isn't gonna come back.

never this year

never next year

never the year after that...

they're kinda booked, ya know?

and really, they weren't selling very well in LE mode. sure, some might argue is was "up there", but they had hours invested in the nice treatment, gotta pay to play

and they've got scads of new stuff coming to play with

they seem QUITE busy selling what sells well, why are they going to bother for some years (if at all) with something that doesn't and has overlap?

No it's cool, I've got a few. If I get real honest, I have more knives than I need.

I better get a soccer whistle with one of mine, I keep getting the whirlybirdys. The 10 really wasn't that much more than the regular price when you factor in the micarta that comes with it, Your basically paying 40ish for 1 of only 160. I mean what you woulda been paying. Now your gonna pay more.
It really is an awesome knife, not for its limited factor that's just more frosting on top. I would take it over anything but the Machax. We need an LE Machax.

C'mon Kabar, you know you wanna.

I would have said the same right up until I started handling mine when it arrived on Monday. Now it absolutely categorically would be the first BK&T blade I buy were I starting over and I had the full range to choose from. Just sayin'.

I'm very glad I got mine last month, but I am disappointed they didn't last until I could pick up another. I'll just have to give this one 2x the love! :)

I am thrilled I got mine,,, feels really good in the hand,,, have even thought of picking up a cheap 7 and trying to duplicate my 10 so I don't have to beat up my limited edition!! Wow,,, never returning,,,, harsh!!

Those were my thoughts as well, I paid over $100 for the BK-2 with the wood scales, For another $50 I got a real cool knife with the style of point I like and the limited edition status and cool sheath sent it right over the top, It turned out to be an easy no regrets decision.

Limited Edition Machax, Great idea!!!!

Hope you don't mind getting up at 4am when I back my truck through your bedroom wall, take my 10's and a couple Machaxs as a penalty then :D

yay!!!!!!!, my 2 BK10's showed up today. Wow, that is a nice knife. I found my whistle but where's my bells. Sweet ........

I got REALLY lucky and got a 7 turned into a 10 from Tom Gannon. He calls it a BK-710. It doesn't have a thumb ramp and he add choil. I'll try to post a pic.

Bladite, I received my knife a day before my invoice. So I'm guessing they're sent the same day.
