Bk11 or 14?

I can see where some may find the BK-14 a little more comfortable...

But I don't find the BK-11 uncomfortable, it fits my hand just fine, and my desire for multi-purpose usually over-rides my desire for pure creature comfort.

The BK-11 works well, and offers more versatility.

I think I may be in the minority, but I prefer the BK-11 for its over-all functionality.

Hey Everybody....

I really think that other than giving half my royalty to the Chief Rat Fink that most will prefer the 14.....The 11 will do a better job on beer and barbed wire and is SLIGHTLY more compact and I get to keep ALL the money.....In the end on this one I think it REALLY comes down to fashion (it really hurts when I say nice things about Jeff,Mike is OK)....

They both work really well.......Did this post help you, probably not but, please give me credit for giving it a shot....They both work.....

All Best.....

Thanks for the reply Ethan,

Both seem like great tools and i'm really stuck deciding between the two, it seems like most places in Canada only have the 11 in so I may go that route anyways.

The only real advantage to the 14 is comfort but the 11 is more versatile with the opener and wire breaker.

Nice pics mistwalker, the handles on the 11 look pretty nice.

I carried a BK11 or YEARS, until the BK14 came out. I'll get back to that. The BK11 is an awesome knife, and capable of many big knife chores. I recommend that you get the micarta with it, but that a recommendation. The handle feels fine, and the beer popper/wirecutter thing is great.

The only reason I like the BK14 more, is, it fits better IN MY HANDS. That means my hands not yours. Plus, I have been wanting a BK14 ever since PWYP last year, when I saw the vid where Ethan has the "Brat" around his neck. If ya'll haven't seen the 4 part interview that Ethan did with Adam at E2E, check it out on youtube. Its a good vid. Anyways, I like ESEE knives and I like Becker knives. I never cared for the Izula much, because I need a little more blade. The BK11 always felt like it was coming out of my hand when I used it, and when I saw the collab BK14, I wanted one of those, as the best of both worlds. Plus, imagine how tough a knife would have to be to have ESEE and Becker/Kabar stamped on it. Pretty tough indeed for 3 major knife companies to have their name on it.

I just was facing the same dilema 11 or 14, I went 14. for the grip.

But last nite I went for 2 cold ones (Widmer Bros. BRRR) back in the office irealized they weren't twisties. Was there a church key in my office? Nooo. My edc doesn't have a bottle opener. If I'd a had the BK11. Prolly woulda been with my keys anyway!
