BK11 or BK14?

Its about that time now that i get another becker, and i like the smaller ones but cant decide which one to get, or maybe i should say get first. If anybody can drop by and put in some thoughts on which one they prefer and why, it would be greatly appreciated
 
I'm in the same situation, I finally decided to wait for the 24 so I can try out the D-2.
 
I prefer the 11 handle to the 14. You need to feel them in hand to decide. Most folks prefer the handle on the 14. In my case I have XL hands. The 11 and 14 both are a 3 finger grip for me and the 11 just feels better. If I could get 4 fingers on the 14 maybe I would prefer it. The other thing is that the bottle opener on the 11 is just plain cool!
 
It's a total toss up for me. I carry a 14 as part of my edc, but I carry my 11 in the bush around my neck and on drinking nights lol.

I <3 my 11. <3 my 14. They have very different roles though. My 14 just kind of rides back up for my 11. My 11 stays around my neck with a zippo and a firesteel and a couple magnets and a pin.
 
Get the 14. I had an 11, but it felt too small in my hands so I traded it. My brother has the 14 and it feels so much better. When the 24 is released, I'm getting one.
 
I prefer the BK14 to the BK11,I have both and I'm planning to give the BK11 to a friend.
 
I rarely drink beer so I have no use for a bottle opener on my knife handle so I perfer the BK14.
 
My hands fit a large size work glove and I like the 11. Three fingers grip the knife (with micarta) and the pinky kind of hangs off and does not become uncomfortable on the bottle opener. And for what I use the knife for I enjoy having a bottle opener available. That said, I don't have a 14 but plan on getting one someday.
 
They arent that much. Get them both! If you like one a lot more than the other, sell or give away the one you dont like. You really need to hold them both in your hand to make a decision
 
Funny I like the 11 handle better. If mine were naked or paracord it might be different. It might be I have more time with the 11.
 
It really comes down to blade shape, intended use, balance and feel in "your" hands. The 11 and 14 have the same blade, so between the two, it's a matter of balance and personal feel. Adding in scales/grips changes the balance and increases the variables. Toss in the other Ka-Bar skeletonized neck knives, the BK13/Remora, and the JAB Piggyback as choices, and I'd pick the Piggyback as the most comfortable in the hand, though the one I'd carry every day (if fixed blade concealed carry were legal where I live) would be the 14 (really the 24 when it comes out), then the Remora, then the 11, and finally the Piggyback. FWIW, I've been dealing with moving boxes this weekend, and both the Remora and Piggyback have been in my pockets since Friday, mostly to deal with sticky packing tape and snack breaks.

i have the 11 and put a set of grips on it made a world off difference. and i think the OAL of the bk14 over the 11 is one quarter inch so not much difference.
 
im suprised there are this many votes for the 11, i figured it would all be 14 by the looks of alot of the forums, all this info helps guys thanks, does anybody have an estimate on when the 24 will be released?
