I am going to review the knife a little in this thread. This weekend the wife and I did some house chores. Some regular stuff like cleaning and whatnot and some not so regular like house fix up's/honeydos. Well one of the projects was a demo of part of the front porch. Originally this was Mrs Edge's job, but I soon inherited it. Had lots of extra 2x4's left from the demo and I had to do some other things to the porch still. As always I had my BK11 with me. Anyway. I needed a shim. Didnt have any of the prefab ones so I decided that I needed to make my own. Edge to self: "Self, you have all those extra 2x4's laying around. I bet you could use one of those for a shim." Great idea self. But those are way too thick. Hmmm....what to do what to do? So, i reach in my left pocket and find the BK11. Eureka! I'll use the batoning skills that I learned on WSS along w/ the BK11 and make the shims. Wouldn't you know it, that BK11 bit deep into the 2x4's and made some excellent shims! Would have been lost if it weren't for all of the knowledge that I learned here on WSS and Mr. Becker's "super knife". Thanks to all of you here and thanks Ethan for an excellent blade. Which, by the way, was still shaving sharp after putting it to good use! Now my BK11 has earned its work clothes. Nice use marks in the form of scratching and deposit marks (paint) from the left over 2x4's. She is no longer a safe queen, but a monster of a user knife that I will always EDC.
