BK13 history

I love that the name is so perfect. A Remora is a fish that clings to another large preditor fish and gets the little scraps for food. The Remora knife rides with a larger knife for the little jobs.

When I finally had one on my hand, I thought "nice little knife", when I put it in it's new home in my BK5 sheath and closed the Velcro flap, I thought " that's awesome"!

Not sure if I like stainless or carbon for the little knife.

I think the BK13 is a great little knife. I carried one in my pocket at work for a while, where I mainly need to cut open packages or cut up cardboard. After dissecting a bunch of cardboard it became apparent that some wrapping of the handle would help with the comfort level, but it worked. I've since become overly infatuated with the BK14 and wear one on my belt instead, but the BK13 proved to me that it could handle plenty of small tasks.

Looking around I saw the 1095 CroVan BK 13 has a 440A handle! Wow that's some manufacturing!

I got my new and latest and greatest Becker coming in! The 13 I ordered to fill out a free shipping, also cuz a asmall fixed blade that can fit in a BK sheath idea I do think is a good idea. If it works out OKishly I might get 4 more.
