This is my first day on Blade Forums and I cant think of a better way of introducing myself than letting you all know how much of a klutz I am.

I was in the middle of wrapping my Bk14 i got today when the blade decided to leave its sheath and enter my hand.

Hope you heal up fast.

I just wrapped my BK 14 a few days ago.

While searching around here trying to make up my mind which wrap to go with I saw so many people post pictures of bad cuts from the knife popping out of the sheath.

So how did the wrap turn out?

Made me very cautious.

Left mine in the sheath and wrapped it with no issues and my 14 wasn't sharp enough to cut paper when I got it!

Hope it heals soon!

Yeah, that happens. I wrapped my Eskabar without it in the sheath...Guess I'm not so bright. I didn't get any wounds from it though. Welcome to the club, though.

Yeh if your not careful they can jump up and bite ya. Glad to hear no stiches

Yeah, they're blood thirsty little boogers of they get away from you!
Hope you heal fast.
Welcome to the sickness!

Welcome to the forum and good for you for breaking the knife in proper.

They never feel like they are really mine until I cut myself. The worst cut I have gotten yet was one evening I was flipping my Izulu and catching it by the handle. Yes, I had been drinking. Anyway, flipped the knife and had enough wherewithal to realize that I was going to catch it by the blade.

So, my dumb ass just let it fall to the ground. Problem was that it glanced off of the calf of my leg on the way down. Bled for over an hour and finally took 3 butterfly stitches and some super glue to stop it. Note to self: Although knives and beer are 2 of my favorite things, they don't necessarily go together well

Welcome to our little corner of the asylum! Might oughtta feed that knife something other than flesh. You don't want it getting the hunger.

Worse cut I ever got was from a "Coleman" Western boot knife, the W 75.. mine was lazerbeam sharp.
I spent hours sharpening it, like it was meditation.
Well one day I was doing it by muscle memory and it flicked at the end of a stroke, touched me so lightly that I didn't even bother to look at it.
After a few min I realized that my lap felt warm, looked down and my pants were soaked with the blood that was running out of my thumb.
I had cut it through the pad through the nail, it had actually split my thumb front to back right through my thumbnail and bounced off the tip of the bone.
I never even felt the cut.

Glad yours turned out ok.
Safety first even if your an old pro at something, anything that can go wrong... will go wrong ..lol
