BK14 vs BK11, which one you like better and why?

Great thread.

I recently found Becker knives and am in lust. I have had Camillus and K bar in my collection for a lot of years and how I never heard of Mr. Becker I don't know. Have been trying to decide between 11 and 14 and I think its going to be a 14. Now if I can just decide between a BK2 and BK7. :)

Sounds like good idea a BK 11 tick remover mod. On the blade edge near the Handle that opens all sorts of Bottles, cut fine a notch like the Ticked Off remover has, for a integral Becker/Guyon/555 Tick Remover. :D
 
Could go with a combination lanyard hole/tick key groove.

You can't live without a bk2. Duno how you survived thus far....better check your pulse
 
I've been using my 14 as an EDC for a few months and am loving it! Dont know about the 11, but it gives me an excuse to buy one so I can give you an honest, well informed opinion on it. Works for me!
 
can't go wrong with the 11. like he said, get the micarta for it.

The BK14 fills your hand more lengthwise, and it allows you to get all 4 fingers on it(for me anyway).

The BK11 is wider and fills your grip more. I find that it also puts the tip down and feels more ergonomic. If you like to shoot a subcompact glock I recommend the 11.

I like my 11, never used a 14.
Get the micarta for it.
Love the bottle opener.
Goes with me everywhere, except the airport and disney.
 
Same here... BK14 wins hands down. Plus its cheaper to add handle scales on the 14. Even though my in my hands, it is a 3 finger handle as well.
 
I have the 11 and use it for work and its great. I'm thinking about getting the 14 for hiking and general tinkering around in backyard.
 
I have both and use both - I usually decide based on my loadout. The 11 is easier to conceal, especially with bare handle. The 14 is more comfortable if you are going to be doing a lot of work.

That said, I field dressed a deer, skinned it and jointed it with an 11 last season with no issues at all. Perfect field dressing knife.

I like the subcompact pistol comparison - you can shoot a Glock 26 all day long, but a 19 is a little more comfortable for a long day at the range.
 
IMO you can't have one without the other.
I always have a hard time deciding which one to carry cuz I really like them both. But if I had to choose, I'd go with the BK11 simply because it was my first and i feel more attached to it.
 
I like my 14 better but my wife likes the 11. With that said I carry a different brand only because of blade length and the law.
 
BK 14, definitely. I really like the 11 and carried it daily, until I got the 14. The 11 grip didn't feel too small or uncomfortable, but the 14 feels much better. I cord-wrapped both of them.

My wife took possession of the 11 after I stopped carrying it. Still a great blade.
