In the last couple of months I bought my first two Beckers, the 15 and 16.

I like them a lot, both of them.

But I am starting to prefer the BK16. It's just a real useful knife for the kind of things I mostly do. I have a custom sheath on its way to me, a dangler type.

I am as happy with it as I can be.

You show excellent taste, Sir....... The Sixteen is my edc belt carry....... Thank you......

I'm starting to think about weird stuff like custom scales for it.

The factory handles are incredibly comfortable and utterly serviceable.

But I'm fond of the knife and wouldn't wind some good looking wood scales for it.

I stripped that old black coating off itand have a nice patina starting, and have a leather sheath on the way.

Wood would finish the process of scrubbing the last remaining vestiges of tacti-cool from it. :)

You designed one tremendously useful knife, Mr. Becker.

I'm a fan.

I have hunted and been an outdoorsman my whole life, and butchered quite a few steers too. I have a pretty fair feel for a knife that is made to work.

This knife was obviously designed by somebody who knows what a real knife user needs.

And 1095 is tied for second with 01 on my favorite steels list.

Mike Stewart's 52100 from back in the Marbles years is the only steel I like marginally better.

After coming in from changing the old Toyota's oil in the cold, my BK16 just made me a nice cup of cocoa with some ancho powder in it to offset the Dutch cocoa.
Very considerate that blade is.
