Well I would have posted a pic of mine only she is lost to me for the moment... but soon, hopefully, she will be free again.

Bad pic, but here you go. The Mk VII sheath. No eyelets, completely able to be taken apart, less holes than previous models, still has the same air-welt, and 9 different adjustable points of retention. This is the first BK15 sheath I have made that I actually like.

You're a talented dude Derek!

Thanks! It has been awhile since I made a sheath, might have to look into getting back into it here before long.

well, just scored a second BK15! I have to admit though, I primarily wanted this one for the sheath and scales that came with it. Oh well, a spare, or one to sell!

it's funny how many people hate that sheath!

it's funny how stupid those people are. one of the best production sheaths made. imho.

the BK15 is like my lovechild. a few people try to take mine. they are mourned :D

seriously, who takes a dude's best knife?

ain't right man, ain't right.

I gave away a 15 to a friend last year after he took me bear hunting. I saw the bear, but never got a shot. Still an exhilarating experience.

How much you wanna bet that if 200 people pre-paid for a special run of BK-15s that we'd get it ... Maybe even in D2!

I like that D2 holds up to against rust very well and keeps it's edge well too. But I have never beat on it or even say S30v -S35v like 1095 . I very much like the 24 but have never treated as bad as the 11. Has anyone here treated any of these steels a little on the rough side. I've been curious if they would hold up as well as 1095 but have not wanted to learn the hard way :p Oh yea a D2 15 Sweet .

A BK15 in D2, that would be great, I'd buy several, it's my second favorite Becker knife.

Well, if 200 is the magic number, no telling what all we could come up with to order up!

I get that knives should be able to take some abuse, and reasonable battoning is not abuse. On the other hand, maybe we should not expect to be hard on every knife we own.

i suspect strongly, that if we had 500 paid in advance orders, no coating, 1095, no sheath, straight spine, hell - even no cutouts, maybe plain jane handles, no warranty, drop shipping to someone else to distribute so it's the minimal possible hassle for KaBar, it wouldn't happen.

the lack of demand, and the dumping of content led to a whole lot of "nope, ain't going to happen again"... if people had been buying them 5 at a time like the BK16, we wouldn't even be here. sad.

don't even think we'd get 100 sold. but hey, we could try a thread. put serious commitment down, assume they will cost MORE for less (but not current street prices), and see how many people we get in a month or two, as an experiment but expect nothing at all the happen.

that said, there's lots of BK5s left. buy those up first :D
