Just a few quick shots. Damn sun came out a few minutes after I took the photos. Quick impressions. Love the sabre grind, and over all blade shape. The weight and balance feel good in the hand. Don't know about yours, but mine came shaving sharp, as every BK knife when it first came in. Love the sheath. Seems very durable, and I like all the attachment points. Very nice. Can't say I'm crazy about the color, but hey, can't have everything. My only complaint, is that the handle is smaller than I hoped. It's more of a 3 finger handle for me. (A 2 finger for 1066vik) I can get my fourth finger on it, but it's scrunched a bit. Anyways, sorry about the quality. I was excited. ;)

Oh yeah, the 16 is in:

I keep telling myself that I don't need a BK16 FPR. It would be the most expensive knife I would have ever purchased. I see no point in the other FPR knives other than collectivity reasons, but the 16 is the one that is actually different, and while I've been talking about how I want the BK17, the BK16 "mini BK2" is what initially got me interested.

Maybe I'll wait to get the Passaround BK17, see how I like the handles, see how I like the clip, and then see if there are any FPR BK16's left.

Either way though... these photos are great :).

Oh snap shit just got real! ;) Nice pictures, Feels good to finally get your hands on it right!
Thanks, and yes it does. ;)

That's how it was for me. I liked the way the sabre grind matched the BK2.

nice pics Warrior...I can't wait to get hands on mine! LOL I guess I can be ''New FPR16 thread" number 50! ;)

Thanks. Yeah, it would probably been better to have one thread for everyone to post their new shorts on, but, what the hell. :D

No way, the more threads, the more exposure, the more people buy stuff, the more time and money kabar sinks into ethans knife making machine of a brain, the more cool new stuff we get.

btw whats a bk16?

True, true. What's a BK16? How the hell should I know? :D

nice pics as usual warrior!!!
Thanks, appreciated. I was gonna take a boat load more, but the sun wasn't out. A few minutes after I came in, it popped back out, but was short lived. We had a few storms roll through here.

I appreciate you dedication to using your good camera. I have a Nikon D5000 with a 50mm f1.4g, but I am too lazy to get it most of the time. So I use my iphone and text the pics to photobucket. LAWLZ

Anyways. Great pics and congrats.

There does seem to be some inconsistency in the way the scales fit on every pic I have seen. I hope that levels out in final production.

Thanks. I just use a little point and shoot camera. Nothing high dollar. A Sony DSC-W55, like so:

The handle on mine came slightly out of adjustment. Nothing loosening and relining won't take care of.

So if this a 3 finger knife for you, how does it compare in the hand to the 11/14?
As usual, great pics.
Thanks for sharing your impressions.

Thanks. I took a few photos. The 14 is definitely a 3 finger knife. Mind you, I don't have huge hands. I wear an x-large glove, depending on how they're made.

The 14:

The 16. Like I said, I can get 4 fingers on it, it just doesn't hit right. My little finger hits the end of it, not the contour:
