Hey Dubz, I had the scales off of my 16 today and was looking at it. If you are really having trouble getting a full grip you could probably grind out the spot where you want your pinky to sit. There is a little extra wiggle room to make the grip slightly larger there. Just an idea.

Dubz, would you like a set of wood scales contoured for your hand size? I'd be happy to hook a brother up if you want to get to use that blade.
Waiting for my BK16 to get here as well. It did. Found the package on the counter at 11:30pm when i got home. Not trying to hijack the thread but I FREAKIN LOVE IT !!!! Sharp---you bet. I did NOT sharpen it before i did this.
It would do this all day long. Is it perfect, no. Will i sharpen it, yes. Do i like the sheath, yes, i love it. Will i modify it, yes. Would any BeckerHead not agree with this, no.

Cut off my second retaining strap too. Any modding plans? Or are you going to keep her purdy?

Fits me fine too, but I'm a medium glove. XL is a pretty big jump.

I very much appreciate the offer sir, but I was thinking of trying it myself. I was gonna make some extended scales, that go beyond the tang. Like the aftermarket ESEE 3 scales. I could always add a lanyard hole on the end.

Have you ever seen 1066vik's hands.? Now those are some big hands. I guess my hands aren't overly small, but I do have skinny fingers, haha. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet. I may try making some scales for it, or I may just keep it, and buy another 16 when the FFG's come out, and make scales for it.

I really like the sheath. Not crazy about the color, but it can always be died, or, something else I have in mind. I had some huge modding plans for this. I think I would prefer this stock sheath over kydex, but that's just me.

Thanks. I don't think it will be too hard. Have never made any though. Seems the hardest part would be chiseling out the holes for the nuts.
