BK16 + Condor Bushlore Sheath

I use the sharpshooter glacier bay for the 16 and it's so comfortable edc'ing that I forget it's there! 20$ make ya holler!
 
Hi Serp, stupid question here. What's the purpose for all the extra material on the glacier bay sheath? I just bought my first becker bk16 and really don't like the sheath so I'm looking for something different that won't break the bank. Thanks.
