BK16 FFG Mock Up

And the laser etching is a little blurred. I think the grind is off by about 1/16". You should do something about that.
:D

Your graphic work is very much appreciated. The time you spend on stuff like this goes miles to whet the appetite of hungry Becker fans everywhere.
Thanks.

Nice GIMP work!

What version are you running?

BTW - the Saber-grind looks awfully nice, though the FFG is no mud-hen.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Thanks. Not sure what version it is, but I've been running the same version for probably at least 3-4 years.

Nice.

I wouldn't update to the latest 2.7.___ - they haven't got the bugs worked out yet.

There's a healthy flickr GIMP Group - lots of links to tutorials, script-fu's, etc though you've clearly got an excellent working knowledge of it! Well done.

Thanks for the image! Gotta admit though that it bums me out a little. Ah well.

I use paint.net because I could never get into GIMP. I used to use Ps and Illustrator all the time when I thought I wanted to be a graphic designer  Looks like it works pretty well though.

Thanks guys. That's what I did, just Googled tutorials, etc, then apply that to what I wanted to do. But even more so, I just started pushing buttons, to see what it would do, and learned that way. I'm still amateurish, I don't understand everything about all the features.

Well, you do a good job. Thanks for the mockup that I requested so's I can visualize my little project a bit easier. I think I'll shorten the handle a bit so that the handle scales cover the holes on it though...

For the other BH's, I'm gonna try to make this to whet my appetite while I wait for the real deal:

Gonna shorten the handle a bit more; basically, a regular tweener but with a cut going up the middle to turn that square lanyard hole into a bottle opener.

Thanks.
I was having a hard time lining the opener up with the grips. Don't know why really, should have been easy. At least I textured and colored the opener to match the blade though, lol. I didn't realize I didn't quite match up the top. Damn, must have been getting late.

Haha, I was doing another as you posted. I changed the angle a bit, moved it in closer, and got rid of the holes, but it still sticks out more than yours. I also used the FFG:

Hopefully my steel is in before the weekend. Now I'm all excited to get grinding :)

Especially after Psyop's thread. Gotta have something to mess with.

Nice job, looks really good.

I can't wait for the 16 to come out, it will be my go to back packing blade.

Thanks. I'm gonna EDC mine in my Falcon II. Replace the 14. I guess I'll use the 14 as a necker again. Or, get a TDI clip for it.

Dubz, what OS are you running?

That helps visualize it. I'm really looking forward to this knife! Nice work, Dubz. You're the man with these mock-ups/animations.
