BK16 or 17

The flat ground 16 is a classic that everyone should own. You can branch out from there, but you should have at least one 16. It pairs well with axe, saw, big knife or machete and as a stand alone blade is quite nearly perfect.
So right! You need a 16, maybe 2.

The 17 looks cool and all but the 16 is more functional. How often are you gonna stab someone? :D:D I do like my 17 for sure and would not get rid of it but I really don't use it all that often.

I guess I am just over the clip points. I had ton's of clip points growing up and now day's I really prefer the stoutness of a non-clipped blade. I can still stab stuff with my 16 just fine.

The blade shape is identical so you have to ask yourself if you want something that looks aggressive and cool or do you want one of the best designed blades for the price in that size category?

Either way, both are great knives so just pick the one you like the most and have fun using it.

Either is a fine choice. I have the 16, but just because I like drop points better than clip points (personal preference). Now what you REALLY need is a 15 so your 16 or 17 doesn't get lonely. :)

OR all 3, so when you're out using your 16, for example, your 17 has someone their size to talk to....

Very true! That's one reason why I got a 15!:)
