Ya know, some copper mesh cloth mixed in with that burlap would give it a bit of an LSCF look. I might have to try that out. That looks really good.
 
Good job man. Best handle mod I've seen in a while. And the fact that it's on a new BK16? Even better!

BTW I was thinking about making some home made hemp based scales for my new BK5 and after I saw this thread....I'm starting this afternoon!

Its gonna take alot of layers! I used 15 layers just for these scales

Thanks a ton everyone!! Not bad for my first go at micarta! Its my second time doing a handle, but I am thrilled with how it turned out. I just started full convexing the blade too...
