I have had my BK2 for a few years now. Like it, but don't love it. My suggestion for a New knife in the BK series is, take the design of the BK2 and stretch the blade out to 8 inches. Use 3/16 in thickness. That would be my perfect Becker. Just sayin. I have a BK9, really love it, but it's a little heavy to have strapped on your belt all day.

Nice work. I do believe an 8 inch version like your last picture would be a great knife. Like the thumb ramp gone as well. The knife would sell for sure, and perform and carry excellent.

Yup. I have no use for something so stout and so short.
A BK2L with roughly 7” blade in .25 1095CV would be awesome.

I do believe a 7 1/2"-8" drop point 3/16" in the design of the BK2 would sell great. BK7 a great knife, not a fan of the clip point or the thumb ramp. BK9 also a great knife, too heavy to carry on belt. I have a BK9, beat the heck outta that knife and it takes the abuse like a champ. It is strapped to my day pack. BK7 has been given to my son. Oh and get rid of those horrible sheaths. Kydex or whatever material, but a sheath needs to have good fit, good belt mounting and retention. Nobody needs to loose there knife or worry about that. I have carried and tried different knives for bush carry over the years. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here. C'mon Ethan, it's time for a new knife for the BK series.

I look at it like this. Could the sheath be better? Yes. That said, it would also add to the cost of the whole package. Same as if they came with micarta or G10 scales. I personally like the option of making it my own. I usually just use it as it comes. I don't normally wear a knife on my belt. At the cabin, I take whatever knife I want to use out of my duffel bag. If I'm hiking, it's either attached to the pack, or inside it. So the stock sheath works fine for my uses.

Good point Warrior for sure. My sheath comment, is not what all want. But I bet alot of people have gotten a custom sheath made for there BK series Knives. I personally like the hard BK2 sheath. It was my first BK knife. Make it an option for the others in the series. Just a thought.

For what it's worth, I like my BK2 - great knife.

That said, would a new model from BK&T be exciting?
Of course it would be, but it would cut into my B&B Fund. (Beer & Bourbon)

Pretty easy to remove the thumb ramp on a 9. Looks good. I did the same on my 7, gave it a choil like the 5 and now it's awesome. It's kind of in that no-man's land between belt knife and chopper, but makes a good one-knife if you need to baton occasionally and only snap-cut small stuff against a stump.

I think the BK2 is a perfect Truck Knife. Unfortunately carrying it in my truck's toolbag would count as concealed in my state, and it's too long for that.
