BK2 Blade Profile & Handle w/ 0.188" or 0.165" Thick Blade

Nah, I'd start with fresh material. :)
10 years ago, I tried to make a BK-Kleaver, about 5" long on the standard handle (this was pre-tweeners, of course). We hadn't worked out our HT protocols for thicker stuff and it failed badly. It's still kicking around in the shop, all rusty somewhere. And to this day, I've still never made a full-size BK-handle piece despite having done a tweener-compatible and a bucket of '62-compatible blades.
That would be awesome. I remember when you made the mini 2.

Kleaver, someone say...Kleaver?

do you know what a surface grinder is?

haha! that would take awhile and leave the blade bevel angles unchanged.

Hmm, A2 or 1084? Turns out I have both in stock in 2"x0.165".
Not saying I'm for sure gonna do this, but gotta find inspiration where one can - and this is the traditional place for me. :D

I think a Bk-hawk would be weird. The handle is great, but very restrictive in how/where you hold it compared to a normal hatchet handle. On the other hand, maybe you need fewer options than on a general purpose knife?

I hear that 1084 is awesome with the right heat treat?
