Wow they look great. I had got a set of Kabar micarta scales for my BK16. Didn’t know until now I could dye them. That’s something else to think about now. All to make it more unique.

I like that Flat dark earth look to those scales. That's what KaBar shoulda put in those $40 variety packs of scales instead of the pink, blue, and bright greens.

I agree. This is how I bought my knife new. I didn’t switch any scales. For as long as I looked I didn’t see them offered this way very often, few and far between.

I’m curious as to why you don’t see these often?

Do any of the Becker Moderators know?

So your BK2 was that “Zombie edition” green? Any pictures of your setup?

As far as i know the becker bk32 and Bk39 are completely separate from the zombie knives kabar put out. I think they are just called the clear coat versions of the bk2 and bk9. Scales just happen to be green for any nimber of reason. Ive only got the 2 but ive seen other members posting pictures of the 9.

Well damn. I was removing the scales just for the fun of it and upon reassembly I didn’t realize till now that I had stripped the nuts holding the scales on.

And I just replied to you on the other thread about upgrading to stainless. Grab some
10-32x5/8" socket head cap screws.

Go order yourself some stainless Black Oxide replacements from one of those places that sell them. I'd say it's Home Depot, that would be a lie.
They're cheap, shipping isn't wonderful for just a few screws. Replace Home with Bolt.

10-24 x5/8 also works just fine, you gotta buy the nuts too.
