  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

BK2 or wait for BK16?

Yeah ill snap a picture of the spine so you can see the thickness in hand. Its about the same thickness as the 11 and 14 if you have had your hands on either of them. Mine is one of the FPR 16's that is just of the side without the etch. (SMKW is the only one with the FPR tweeners) The handle feels amazing for my size hands. I have heard guys with larger hands(warrior ;) ) can feel a little cramped on the tweeners though.

Any of the tweeners will do you good

Also, while im on here, I ordered my 7 from amazon and it didnt come with the BK13. Should I buy it for 20 bucks or so or just put that towards this purchase? I own a kabar Gila with g10 handles from a dealer friend of mine for my edc, and also own a cold steel pendelton lite. Just wanted to know if it is truly worth the 20 or not.

I bought mine for a customizing project, without the scales and stuff it kinda sucked...

Here are some pictures so you can get an idea of the width. That is my 9 and my 14 in the comparison shots.

If your gonna use it, then yes it's worth $20, but if you already have a small knife to go with your 7 and the 16/17 your gonna get, then I wouldn't worry about it for a while.

No, never been on survivalist boards before. What were the pics of anyway? I'm not a member and cant view them.

Just pics of the modified handles he did. Its a great site to read on, i would suggest it to anyone reading these.

I'm new to the forum as well. I have collected a BK2 and now a FPR BK16. The 2 is super hefty and like a sharpened pry bar. The 16 will definitely be more easily worn on a belt and is more agile.

I believe the tweeners are all 5/32" thick, so exactly halfway between the 11/14/izula (1/8"=4/32") and the 4/5/7/9/10 (3/16"=6/32").

As you'd expect if you were to obsess about scale vs. thickness vs. grind heights etc.
