Bk2 swedge?...BK2 SWEDGE! pics on pg 1 and 2

Looks great man, excellent work .

Did you drop the tip of the blade? Its hard to tell from the photos if you just ground down the back, or if you actually moved the tip of the blade at all.

the tip came down some, not much but some, it wasnt something i planned, but more of a casualty of the mod. thanks for the kind words guys

looks good. I like how the tip is down a bit. You should have better control if you can choke up on the knife.

Nice that would be the perfect blade for dressing game. Front of blade for skinning, belly for breaking bones. Very cool man...very cool

Very nice work man. That's taking quite a risk with an already great looking, customized blade, but it looks like it really paid off. Not only do you have (possibly) the first and only swedged BK2, but you've really created your own knife. I really like the mods you've done with it, and seem like they are all practical, the idea of creating a BK2 Hunter is pretty awesome, and you've pulled it off well. I think Ethan would be proud of the work you've put into that baby. You'll have to post some shots of it in use!

That turned out alright man. I was just gonna say leave the 2 at home and take the 10 to save weight. But good show man.

Thanks guys. Here are some better lighting pics although not the best. And the balance is better IMO, not so forward and more controllable it seems. Ill let ya know after some use.

I love it. You practice on a custom to do a mod on a production knife. Sweet. that looks really sharp!

Haha a little backwards. But that custom was one that doesn't see use since its a bit thin for my liking. And my bk2 is my favorite knife.

Looking good man!

I was initially expecting a Becker style swedge, but that looks like an ESEE clip point and a blackhawk (yes I like it) crucible fx2swedge mixed together. It turned out great!

Yeh that was my first idea but without that high clip like on the 9 and 10, I scratched that idea and just rolled with the sander

Nice work guys, now you all got me wantn' a belt sander...
I'm really digging all these BK2 mods. I would have to buy an extra BK2 just to keep one original.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Im really happy with the result. The point is the sharpest its been ever now with the combo convex edge and blade. Slices like no other. Time to bag me a whitetail, im figuring ill slice it up without much effort.

speaking of a belt sander, my local hardwar store only offers 50, 80, and 120 grit. if found 1000p (600g) online but havent found anything inbetween or higher. anyone know of a good source. both for sharpening belts and grinding.
