The BK2 arrived today. Glad I listened to all of you, because it is a beast of a knife, and a superb value. Can't believe how heavy it is... lovin' it.

I can see additional Beckers in my future.

I like your collection. Looks diverse and useful. But I know what you mean about more Beckers. I bought a BK2 and couldn't stand it. I've just ordered a BK5. I can't wait.

Edge it is. As for the sheath? Recommendations for upgrades over the stock? I hear a lot of bad things about the stock one dulling the edges..

The stock one is good as long as you can use it and don't want one with a tighter fit. Or want leather. My biggest gripe with it is the nylon webbing strap, so I cut that off and replaced it with a Tek-Lok on the same bracket the strap was riveted to.

Well what you lack in quantity you at least offset in quality and that's more important.

I've never oiled any of my blades and I've only ever had an issue with the $20 bowie I used to thrash in the woods and that took years. I have knives from 15 years ago with no corrosion issues however I came from NE Oregon which does not have much trouble with rust.

Thats a great collection you ahve all your bases covered. Anything else would be superfluous to say the least

In my experience, the knife you have on you, when you need one, is far better than the 50 you have at home, when you need one. Either of the blades you have pictured, would serve you incredibly well. Just be sure to have one on you, when you need one.

I'd like to see you tell me that when I'm at home during the zombie apocalypse.

Hope your at home, when it happens :D I'm talking a little more realistic though lol. Not that its not inevitable that were going to be overrun by hordes of flesh eating walking dead, I just figure ill need my blades a lot sooner, on one of my treks into the bush, or the office lol.
