Bk2

They're crazy great! I'm about to pull the trigger on a bk5. I got me a second bk11 last week.

i got a BK2 for Christmas. It is an amazing knife for the cost. I am thinking I want to attempt to make or have someone else make some custom wood scales for it.

Yeah t man I'm going to do the same, I have a machete I need to make one for to any suggestions on the best wood for the job?

I really like the look of purple heart wood but I heard its pretty hard and not that easy to work with. That being said, I still think it would look pretty awesome with the black blade of the bk2.

BK2 rocks!

I'm weary of wood scales on a machete, vibrations can crack wood. It can be done though.

Mine should arrive today. With a 9 as well. And the guy I bought them from still has a 7 he wants to move on. And then there's Skystorm's comp that I need an 11 and/or 14 for. *sigh* So many knives, so little time.

That was my first Becker as well along with a BK11. It's pretty much the duo of the century. Congrats and welcome to the BKT forum.

They are heavy duty honkin knives. I just finished putting a Zuppa!-Sharp egde on mine. I need to take it out and fight some bamboo with it now. Love my BK2!

Ozgooner where are you getting yours from I found alot of people won't ship to Australia or the ones that are here are way over priced I ended up getting my bk2 off eBay from a us seller for $75 + $10 shipping which I thought was reasonable but think I should also have a 5&9

Folders are the issue getting into Australia at the moment with the new interpretations of 'assisted opening' to include buttons/studs (and possibly holes a la Spyderco) on the blade itself and not just the handles.

I am getting my 2 and 9 from a guy who put them up on australianbladeforums.com. I'll PM you with some other Aussie retailers that I have done good business with.

I've been using my bk2 for odd jobs around the farm found it wasn't very sharp out of the box but ok worse was I found the sheath dulled the shit out of it very quickly so I got in there with a small file seems to have it sorted, about 3 strokes on a smooth stone and a going over with the steel last night has made it very sharp now i must say I love this knife
