BK20 - Post 'Em Up When They Come In

I had a feeling you would be starting this thread , dubz. Got my box of steely goodness today. What surprised me the most is the relative lightness of it, I expected it to be heavier, so another bonus in this deal. I mean c'mon, for 200 pops you get 3 beasts? It was a no-brainer for me the moment I saw it. Mine looks hungry.

Gah, dropped the camera AND the blade? Bummer. At least neither one is damaged, right?
I want to use it as a tool, but I will be putting it on a shelf. I wonder how much a mint one will end up selling for in a few years?

Camera is okay. A little scuff on the spine, but I don't care. I am gonna use this thing. Not a collector here, I'm a user.

The weight surprised me too. $200 for all three was a hell of a deal. Unusually, I had the funds for it this time.
 
Mine got scanned...and it requires a signature. I'll have to have it held - unfortunately, I may not be able to get to it until Wednesday. (The bright side of that is that I might be able to pick them both up at the same time)

I wonder how much a mint one will end up selling for in a few years?

I'm putting up the whole (second) box. If they re-release, it could impact the value...depending on the timing; but the Beckerheads-yet-to-come are going to want, no, NEED the BK4s & BK5s.

I really like this Blade!
Not the sharpest out of the box but I can fix that. Had several glanced off the sapplings. Saplings that I'd have no trouble lopping with a 9,4,or 5 this did not go thru. I'll give it a proper edge and report back. It really does feel great while using.

That's how the 21 was for me. Haven't used the 20 yet, but she came shaving sharp out of the box.
 
I'm waiting on mine, some one on a bushcraft forum posted about the BK20. I looked it up, found my way back here, so here in the last week I've ordered the BK20 which comes with the 5 and the 4, also have a BK15 and BK24 headed here also. Since they are going away, figured I'd better get them while I can. I can't wait to post pics.

Hey Slice, surprised you haven't etched, stripped, modded the blade shape, and have it mounted to your Jeep yet, haha.

EDIT: And nearly forgot patinaed. ;)
 
Here either. I was hoping to get it today, but I'm gonna call back tomorrow since I never even got shipping notification.

Haha! That's because it came Saturday and I got home last night after 11 from TN. Work was a b!tch today, hope to have more time tomorrow...
 
I got....someone else's. Mine should be here in a couple days. Meanwhile, imma open the box and check it out before sending it along.....
 
Nothing yet though I would have expected it today. Tomorrow I wait; come Wednesday, I'll be flagging down USPS trucks driving anywhere near my office!

Sucks living on the wrong side of the country when it comes to buying from Ka-Bar. Tracking says the 21st for me, I believe I can wait that long.

I hear ya. I can't decide if I want to mod mine, or leave it as is.

Mine wasn't updated throughout the weekend, so I figured mine would come in tomorrow. When I checked it before work, it still wasn't updated. I got home early today, and it said it was going to be delivered today. Pleasant surprise fo sho.
