BK21 handle customize

After much experimenting, this is the final product that gives me the most retention.

I had initially wrapped up the whole handle but it seems that making a 'knob' at the base of the handle keeps my hand locked in the best. I have tried swinging it pretty forcefully and with a very loose grip, and at no point does the knife feel unsteady. The grip is stippled too (yes , I know it doesn't look good but it's function over form , lol). The tape is a silicone rubber self adhering tape, (Xtrema tape ?). It doesn't leave any adhesive residue and it's permanent, ie you have to slice it off with a blade to get it to come off.

I have some images I'd like to attach but I'm at a loss on how to do that

Nice job.
I like that Xtrema tape. We use a similar product (from McMaster and in much higher volumes) to wrap up exterior cable connections on ships - GPS, Satellite comms, etc. Our main electrical engineer called it "self-amalgamating tape" in his fantastic Irish accent, which brought me no end of delight. I think "self-vulcanizing" is what we'd call it here.

Haha , the visual of an Irishman pronouncing "self amalgamating tape" is hilarious
