BK24 Project Gone Wrong. Sort of.

Ya know, that 'hump' on my 24's been bothering me as well.

I plan to jimp it after finishing with my 5 and 15 and thought I'd try to file that down as well.

Since it's hardened D2, any recommendations on the type of file I should use?

I'm in, thanks for the chance! BH #339

Seriously though, I messed up my BK14 similarly, and I think I'll have to try something like that.

Thanks for all the kind words.
When I was grinding I just went really slow.
If the knife felt hot I'm my hands I dunked it in water to cool it off.
Took about 15 mins. Maybe.

That came out great - and I like the look of the "UGLY GRIND" too! Has a slight Nessmuk look to it.

Good save and well done! And you're pretty brave; I have an 11 I messed up when I first began learning to use a grinder. Eventually I fixed it pretty well - embarrassed to take any before pictures. :-)

kinda makes me want to buy a 24 and beg you to mod it for me :D I'd be scared to try it myself, I wish I was good with metal fabrication I'd make all kinds of stuff for the bikes and quads :D

Looks great. Really nice blade profile, looks like if you de-curved a BK5/15.

Hey, no one's mentioned it, but it looks like you made an Izula. :p
